General Qualifications:
• 5+ years of progressive experience in software development
• An inquiring open mind, superb analytical skills, and the ability to articulate your ideas
• 3+ years of Java application design and development
• 2+ years of J2EE/Web application development
• 2+ years of Flex SDK experience
• The ability to quickly come up to speed on a foreign code base
• Minimum bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
• Possess excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills, a strong team player
• A good understanding of relational databases, SQL, UML, Design Patterns, and multithreading programming
• A working knowledge of Java frameworks for example JSF, JavaScript, JMS, JNI, Apache Tomecat, Apache Axis 2, Struts 2, Hibernate, or Spring would be an asset

Technical Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of J2EE, XML and Web Services
• Development technologies: Eclipse, JCR-170, OSGi frameworks and the Flex SDK v4
• Middleware: Tomcat and Axis 2
• Object-oriented design using OMT / UML
• Media streaming and Multimedia formats

Responsibilities:
• Play an active role in the design and implementation
• Support architect with detailed design
• Support extended team through coaching and mentoring
• Participate in the definition, adherence, and best-practices of development technologies
• Code in accordance with defined standards
• Perform unit and system integration test
