RAD is rapidly expanding and seeks to fill 2 Project Manager positions. Both positions will start as a 6 month to 1 year contract with the option for full time with the company as we grow.

Position 1: Project Manager
Location: Vancouver, BC

Position 2: Project Manager
Location: Ontario and Eastern Canada

The project manager will manage cross-functional, local and remote teams responsible for delivering project outputs for major corporate initiatives involving SOA and Web Services solutions.

Using a combination of online and traditional project management tools, the project manager will manage all phases of the project life-cycle process. They will be responsible for:

• Managing the creation and/or coordination of project documentation;
• Helping defining the project scope and objectives;
• Developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, budget/resource plans;
• Managing company and customer resources (onsite and remotely);
• Conducting project tracking and analysis using RAD’s online project management web tools. This includes a stick adherence to processes for managing scope, issues, risks and change requests;
• Conducting project release management, including go-live documentation co-ordination;
• Ensuring adherence to quality standards, reviews project deliverables and evaluates the completed project;

• Managing and building relationships with project sponsors, business owners and other key project stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and issues and to ensure project success.

Required Experience

• 7+ years of project management experience
• Project management of SOA and/or application development projects
• Strong experience with Microsoft Project
• Outstanding communication skills
• Outstanding leadership and collaboration skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and process follow through
• Outstanding customer negotiation skills when dealing with out of scope efforts or change requests

Desired Experience

• PMP designation
• Bachelors degree
• Masters certificate in Project Management (beneficial)
• Solution projects such as SOA, portal, web services, intranet, internet, web based application development and Java architecture

Beneficial Knowledge

RAD does not expect any one individual to be an expert in all knowledge areas or vendor solutions. It is the understanding and experience in the underlying foundations of these solutions that are important. Candidates are encouraged to share their experience with one or more of the following knowledge areas and preference will be given those with the right combination of project management and solution expertise.

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware: WebCenter, Web 2.0, Portal, SOA, Content Management, Business Process Management, Identity Management.
• Experience with Sun Solutions: Web Services Infrastructure, SOA, Identity Management.
• Experience with Open Source Solutions: Portal, SOA, Content Management, Business Process Management, Identity Management.
