RAD's leadership team has experience in many aspects of technology and business. They share a common passion to exceed their customer's expectations. RAD's management include:

Brian Pearson, Partner and President

Brian co-founded RAD in 1993 and has subsequently led the successful delivery of solutions to a wide variety of customers. Prior to founding RAD, Brian was a team-lead for the Derived Products group of Alias Research, a world leader in 3D graphics technology. As team-lead, Brian led the creation of several successful products and was responsible for porting Alias’s flagship product to the IBM platform.

Before joining Alias, Brian directed the Boeing de Havilland Division’s efforts to bring engineering applications to the desktop. Brian’s varied experiences illuminate his understanding of end-user focused solutions and have played a major role in RAD’s success.

Brian has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, where he specialized in computer science and business administration.

When Brian manages to leave the office behind, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, woodworking, driving off-road vehicles, and adding to his wine collection.

Max Stevens-Guille, Partner

Prior to joining RAD, Max was Senior Vice President of Maptuit Corporation, a provider of location-based web services. Before co-founding Maptuit, Max was a management consultant and launched, amongst others, Canada’s largest online retailer, Indigo Books & Music.

Earlier in his career, Max led a number of successful engineering teams. As a principal of dotSoftware, his team aided in the creation of 724 Solutions’ wireless banking services. As Vice President of Product Development for Visible Decisions, he led the creation of three generations of visualization systems and worked on many financial services and national defense projects.

Max began his career in the Strategic Research group of Alias Research. Max has a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Guelph.

Max enjoys being outdoors as often as possible and counts diving, trekking, kayaking, and motorcycling amongst his favored ways of exploring the planet.

Stephen Spenceley, Director Interaction Design

Prior to joining RAD, Steve served on the Alias’ leadership team for tweleve years as the Technical Director of Human Interaction. Alias Systems is the world's leading innovator of 2D and 3D graphics technologies and interactive experiences. As a result of Steve’s leadership abilities, Alias achieved many industry 'firsts' in the area of human computer interaction design and advanced software development. The development team was awarded an Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences Oscar for technical achievement (2002) and Japan's Good Design Award (2003).

Steve has acted as a consultant to many industries, including the following:

  • The automotive design industry including: BMW, Fiat, Ford, General Motors,Honda, Renault, and Jaguar
  • The industrial design industry including: Fisher Price, Kodak, Mattel, Rollerblade, Sharp, Sony, Trek Bicycle, Teague, and Timex
  • The entertainment design industry including: Disney, Electronic Arts, Industrial Light & Magic, Nintendo, Pacific Data Images (PDI)/DreamWorks SKG,Pixar, Sega, Sony Pictures Imageworks, and Square Enix Co.

Steve has an MDes in Human Computer Interaction from the Royal College in London, England, and a degree in Industrial Design from the University of Teesside, where he specialized in computer aided visualization.

Steve enjoys all things automotive year round. When the weather is warm, you will also find him out boating. During the winter months, Steve enjoys designing and building furniture.
